Special makeup & SFX
Dewi designs and creates special effects makeup for film, photography, and creative productions. Her work includes prosthetics, sculpted textures, creature details, and character transformations, using materials such as latex and silicone. From initial concepts to finished applications, each piece is developed to meet the visual needs of the project and bring characters to life on screen.
A selection of injury simulation work created for film and photography, including custom scars for a short film, bruising for a photoshoot and damaged scales for a graduation film. Each project explores the use of texture, colour and detail to create convincing effects tailored to the visual needs of the production.

Prosthetic makeup, Bald caps & Lifecasts
My work in prosthetics and special effects makeup includes the creation and application of prosthetic pieces, bald caps and lifecasts for film productions. From casting and sculpting to preparing and applying prosthetic elements, I have gained hands-on experience with the techniques and processes involved in transforming actors and bringing characters to life on screen.
These projects have allowed me to develop my skills in material handling, precision and practical problem-solving, while exploring the possibilities of prosthetic makeup in film and visual storytelling.
Slime & artificial blood
A collection of practical special effects exploring texture, fluidity and visual impact. Custom-made slime was created for a shoot featuring model Megan van Engelen, while artificial blood effects were developed for a shoot featuring model Dionne Slagter. Both projects explore the use of practical materials to create striking visual effects for photography and visual storytelling.
